Some aspects of a man's hands may actually indicate the size of his penis

Christopher Lynch, MD Jul. 05, 2011

Despite the myth that men who have big hands also have large penises, studies have shown that this is not the case. However, a recent article published by the Los Angeles Times cited a study that appeared in the Asian Journal of Andrology, which indicated that the difference in length between a man's index and ring fingers may reveal how big his penis is.

The news provider reported that the research involved 144 men over the age of 20. According to the study's results, participants who had a lower ratio of the length of their index fingers to that of their ring fingers were more likely to have a larger measurements of their penises when they were erect.

The researchers explained that this method of predicting penis length may not be so far-fetched since some scientists have speculated that an individual's finger length is associated with the amount of sex hormones that he or she was exposed to in utero, the newspaper explained.

According to the Kinsey Institute, the average size of an erect penis is between 5 and 7 inches long.
